Abstract:
The work aims to reconstruct the design of community public facilities in large cities under the concept of micro-renewal with Xinhua Sub-district in Shanghai as a research object, with a view to improving their utilization. Citespace was used to analyze the current state of research on community micro-renewal, and the PSPL method was used as a guiding theory to conduct specific practical research to discover the existing pain points. After collecting relevant needs through questionnaires, interviews and other methods, the TOPSIS method was used to quantitatively analyze the design needs and find the needs to be solved urgently, so as to provide a basis for the design reconstruction, rebuild the old public facilities and improve the living quality of residents. Based on Citespace, it was found that the current research in community micro-renewal in China tended to focus on public facilities, while the public facilities in Xinhua Sub-district in Shanghai, represented by public telephone booths, had the pain point of low usage. Through a TOPSIS analysis, the six needs of residents for their renovation were obtained to redesign public telephone booths in terms of appearance and function. The redesign of the old public telephone booths in Xinhua Sub-district in conjunction with the community micro-renewal concept and the needs of the residential community is of some value in helping to retain the character of the sub-district and improve the utilization of the old public facilities. It has implications for the combination of public facility design reconstruction and micro-renewal concepts.
