| 目的 通过文字、形象和颜色三个方面，提取天津五大道历史文化旅游街区的视觉符号，探索视觉符号运用在旅游街区公共设施中的价值，为解决现阶段各个城市历史街区公共设施个性缺失的问题提供技术路径和设计案例。方法 通过对五大道文化旅游街区的历史追溯，从文字提取、形象提取和色彩提取三个方面入手，总结出视觉符号的提取方法和设计思路。分析视觉符号在公共设施设计中的应用价值，运用视觉符号植入的方法，从服务、信息、卫生和照明四个具有代表性的公共设施入手，对五大道历史文化街区公共设施进行重新设计。结论 各个城市历史文化街区具有本地深厚的积淀和传承，在街区更新中，把具有地域性特点的视觉符号应用在公共设施的设计中，能够更好地传递城市的精神文化，塑造更具识别性的城市形象。 |

| Application of Visual Symbols in Design of Public Facilities of Tianjin Five Boulevards |

| Abstract: |
| The paper aims to extract visual symbols in historical and cultural tourism blocks of the Tianjin Five Boulevards in aspects of text, image and color, to explore the value of applying visual symbols in public facilities of tourism blocks, and provide technical route and design example to solve the lack of individuality of public facilities in historical city blocks. Through a retrospective investigation on the cultural traditions of Tianjin Five Boulevards, and from the extraction of text, image and color, the methods and designing rules on how to extract and use visual symbols were summarized. The application value of visual symbols in design of public facilities was analyzed. From the service, infor-mation, sanitation and lighting four representative public facilities, the public facilities in Tianjin Five Boulevards were redesigned by implanting visual symbols. Each historical city block has its own unique characteristics based on local his-torical accumulation and inheritance. Incorporating visual symbols extracted from regional features in the design of public facilities could yield a better convey of the city spiritual culture and a higher level of city recognizability. |
